Meet Your Instructor
Hima’s tango journey began with a deep yearning for connection – the effortless harmony between two dancers moving as one. Yet, the more he studied tango, the more he realized that true connection isn’t only about the embrace. It starts within. To truly connect with a partner, one must first be grounded, balanced, and at ease in their own body.
That revelation led him to yoga. Through its practice, he discovered the keys to control, stability, and fluid movement – elements that transformed his tango from the inside out. By refining his own body awareness, he unlocked a deeper, more effortless connection with his dance partners.
Now, Hima shares these transformative insights with fellow dancers – not as distant theory, but as someone who has walked this path himself. He understands the struggles of alignment, posture, and tension because he’s been there.
And now, he offers you the same practical tools and movement techniques that helped him elevate his own tango, so you too can experience greater balance, fluidity, and confidence on the dance floor.
Hima currently teaches at a yoga studio in New Hampshire, where he continues to explore and refine the powerful intersection of yoga and tango.
